The Future is filled with Unlimited Possibility
what I have learned from 10+ years of visibility as an Intersex person
HELLO MY BELOVED FRIENDS

I think we all need to take a breath
When was the last time you took a true, intentional breath my friend? If you can’t remember it’s been too long!
Here’s a video I made where I take deep breaths and guide you through some self-holds. It’s very quick and grounding!
Let’s do a lil check in…
Sending lots of love to you, my dear reader. While the colonial project of the “United States” has always been violent and cruel, someone has turned up the speed AND the volume. Each day has brought new, unexpectated news of fascism and destruction
It is more important than ever for us to create space for self connection and presence
Internally, many alarm bells are ringing each day to let me know that I am not safe, and whats happening right now, from the climate to the politic, is not normal.
As I feel the constant clanging of alarm bells, I connect to my breath.
Taking 3 intentional breaths is one of the most simple, yet powerful grounding practices I have ever engaged in, and its potency has increased over time.
The more I breathe, the more grounding my breath is.
I created this video with an affirmation that is helping me!
We often draw our understanding of the future, from our experiences of the past, but it is so important to remember that no one knows what will happen in the future. If you liked the video and want to see the tapping, you can find it here
The future is filled with unlimited possibility
I feel so aware of this, especially when I reflect on what felt possible in my life when I was a teenager. I had no way of knowing that the life I live now was possible!
Whenver I think of my younger self, I like to take a moment, take a deep breath, and send her some loving energy.
I invite you to give it a try if you are reading this!
I’ve been reflecting on how everything I hate is thriving
I think it means I have to be 10x the hater.
This administration may want me to die, to dissappear, to shut up, sit down, become so scared that I stop being queer.
They forget that my spirit was forged in the flame of the South
I am, because they are.
Like candy, the sweetness of my spirit hardened in the heat of too many transphobic moments.

I have already survived the worst, which for me was being a young person who faced consistent aggression and harassment from my family, friends, and random strangers on the street because of a naturally occurring aspect of my body that I had no control over.
These painful expierences, in tandem with my liberal arts education in power dynamics and oppression, revealed to me how deeply violent and oppressive our society is, and how we all play into it, often to feel a temporary sense of power and to escape our crushing insecurities.
I clocked it, and I wanted something better for myself.
Now I’m an elder (lol).
It is the youth I worry for the most, and their existence fuels my existence.
I have a circle of loving community, that is able to easily love and care for me in a way where I am never asked to sacrifice my sense of safety and dignity to preserve the relationship.
We learn and grow together
I give thanks to all the mischievous weirdo rebels who are invested in living authentically and refuse to kiss the ring of their violent oppressors.
Thank god for queers committed to living lives of integrity and pleasure, expansion and exploration.
Thank god for queers who believe in loving gods, and intuitively know that we have more options than what we are told.
Queers make me want to live life, and show me how to live more and more every day.
Below the cut I share about how we can feel our feelings even as we navigate grief, fear, sadness, and stress.
Love you all!! Talk soon!!!!
